A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Factory EHS Officer, you will support the implementation and continual improvement of the EHS

Management System within the factory. You will work closely with factory leadership, employees, contractors,

and support functions to ensure compliance, identify risks, promote safe behaviors, and drive EHS excellence.

How You'll Make an Impact

·   Conduct regular shopfloor surveillance to identify and mitigate hazards, risks, unsafe conditions,

unsafe acts, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.

·    Perform routine EHS inspections and workplace assessments in collaboration with department and

process owners.

·   Support emergency preparedness and response activities and coordinate with the respective

stakeholder during emergencies.

·   Collection, consolidation, and reporting of EHS performance data, including monthly MIS reports and

environmental performance indicators.

·   Collaborate with factory functions to implement annual EHS objectives, targets, and improvement

programs.

·    Facilitate EHS awareness sessions, campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives to

strengthen safety culture.

·    Support & coordinate internal and external audits related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management

systems and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

·    Participate in contractor qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring activities in

coordination with SCM and process owners.

·    Assist in organizing and executing factory EHS programs, campaigns, observations, and engagement

activities.

·   Support in preparation and review & monitor Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Safe

Work Method Statement and Environmental Aspect Impact (EAI) registers across departments.

·   Support the conduct of EHS Committee meetings and follow up on action item closure.

·   Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and

preventive actions.

·    Recording & reporting of all incidents as per the reporting matrix.

·   Promote proactive reporting of hazards, near misses, and improvement opportunities.

·   Encourage employee participation through suggestion schemes, observations, and EHS feedback

mechanisms.

·   Support compliance with statutory and maintain legal register, corporate, and customer EHS

requirements applicable to manufacturing operations.

·   Contribute to driving Siemens Energy's "Zero Harm, Sustainable Future & Wellbeing" culture across

the factory.

What You Bring

·   Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

·    ADIS / PDIS qualification recognized by the State Technical Board of Education is mandatory.

·    10–15 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.

·    Experience in implementation of EHS management systems within factory operations.

·   Exposure to incident investigation, risk assessment, statutory compliance, contractor management,

and EHS auditing processes.

·    Certified Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

·    Knowledge of applicable Indian EHS legislation, manufacturing safety standards, and environmental

compliance requirements.

·   Experience in conducting EHS training, inspections, and employee engagement initiatives.

·    Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems.

·   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

·   Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence safe behaviors.

·   Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.

·   Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data reporting tools.

·   Fluency in both English and Hindi is mandatory.
