EHS Manager in Project
As an EHS Manager in Project, you will support Siemens Buildings business throughout the entire project and service lifecycle to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements. You will work closely with project teams, service organizations, customers, and contractors to prevent EHS-related hazards and risks while fostering a strong safety culture across project and service sites.
This role covers both project execution sites and service operations, requiring close collaboration with internal teams, customers, and contractors to ensure EHS excellence throughout all phases of delivery.
What part will you play?
- Support Siemens Buildings project and service operations by ensuring compliance with applicable EHS legislation, Siemens requirements, customer specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Identify EHS-related statutory requirements, regulations, environmental aspects, hazards, and risks associated with project and service activities.
- Perform EHS risk assessments and define, implement, and monitor effective mitigation measures.
- Provide EHS expertise during tender and bid phases and support contracting activities from an EHS perspective.
- Develop, implement, and continuously update Project EHS Plans and Emergency Management Concepts.
- Ensure that EHS plans, requirements, and expectations are communicated, understood, and implemented by project teams, service personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Support Project Managers and Service Managers in obtaining and maintaining all required EHS-related permits and approvals.
- Develop and implement EHS training, awareness, and competency programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and contractor and subcontractor assessments across project and service sites.
- Review and analyze EHS performance indicators and provide regular reports to management and project stakeholders.
- Ensure that all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions are reported, investigated, documented, and followed up with effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Escalate critical EHS issues and cases of non-compliance in accordance with Siemens’ governance requirements.
- Promote the sharing of best practices and capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities at project and service locations.
- Actively contribute to Siemens' Zero Harm culture and sustainability commitments.
What you need to make real what matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Certified A-Class Occupational Safety Specialist.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in EHS management within project, construction, building technologies, electrical installation, industrial, or service environments.
- Solid knowledge of Turkish EHS legislation and international EHS standards.
- Experience in contractor management, incident investigation, auditing, and risk assessment processes.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic project environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel within Türkiye as required.
