eBusiness FIN Product Manager
Job Responsibilities
Job Description (Responsibility)
FI/CO Core Modules
1. Own the product strategy and roadmap for Financial Accounting (FI) Controlling (CO) capabilities and translate accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP) and finance operational requirements into clear product specifications, and drive delivery from concept through launch and iteration.
2. Ensure data integrity, auditability, and internal-control requirements (e.g., SOX-style controls, audit trails, segregation of duties) are designed into the product.
Global Experience
1. Design finance products for global deployment: multi-currency, multi-ledger/parallel accounting, multi-entity consolidation, intercompany transactions, and local statutory and tax compliance across regions.
2. Incorporate country-specific requirements such as e-invoicing mandates, withholding tax, and local reporting formats into the roadmap.
AI Capability
1. Define and prioritize AI-powered finance capabilities such as intelligent invoice processing and matching, automated journal entry suggestions, anomaly and fraud detection, cash flow, forecasting, intelligent reconciliation, and natural-language financial reporting and analysis.
2. Apply generative AI/LLMs to finance workflows — close checklists, variance commentary, policy Q&A, and finance self-service assistants.
3. Partner with data science and engineering teams to take AI features from experimentation to production, with clear accuracy thresholds, success metrics, and human-in-the-loop controls, appropriate for financial data.
Team Leadership
1. Lead, coach, and grow a team of 6–8 product managers/product owners; set goals, review outcomes, and develop talent and succession depth.
2. Organize the team around clear module ownership and delivery cadences; establish product management best practices — discovery, prioritization frameworks, roadmap communication, and data-informed decision making.
3. Act as the senior product voice with executives, finance leaders (CFO organization), customers, and partners; align cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, customer success, sales) around a shared roadmap.
Job Qualifications
Other Requirements
1. 10+ years of professional experience, with significant product management experience in financial software (ERP financials, accounting, treasury, FP&A) or deep FI/CO experience from SAP or comparable ERP implementation and product work.
2. Proven experience leading and managing a product team of 6–8 members or more, including hiring, coaching, and performance development.
3. Deep functional knowledge of FI/CO processes: record-to-report, procure-to-pay and order-to-cash touchpoints, period-end close, costing, and management reporting.
4. Demonstrated success delivering products for global markets, including multi-currency, multi-entity, and local statutory compliance.
5. Experience shipping AI/ML-powered product features, or strong working knowledge of applying AI (including LLMs/generative AI) in enterprise finance products.
6. Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and finance internal controls; able to converse credibly with controllers, auditors, and CFO stakeholders.
7. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills; able to engage from working teams to C-level.
8. Fluent English; able to work effectively with global, cross-cultural teams.
9. Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
