Director, RL Category & Go-to-Market
Description
Meta is seeking a Senior Director to lead category management, go-to-market, and business planning and operations for our wearables and hardware portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of category and channel strategy, product launch, and commercial operations, and owns how our devices reach customers and sell through – across first-party, retail, telco, and direct-to-consumer channels. You will partner with product, product marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales to bring a fast-growing portfolio of consumer devices to market and scale it profitably around the world. You are a builder and an operator who can set multi-year strategy, bring clarity to ambiguity, and lead senior leaders to execute at pace. You understand that great products only win when the commercial model behind them is equally deliberate, and you know how to represent the reality of the channel in the rooms where product and market decisions get made.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end category and go-to-market strategy for the wearables and hardware portfolio, from product launch through in-channel execution and sell-through, across first-party, retail, telco, and direct-to-consumer channels. Build and lead a large, multidisciplinary organization spanning these functions, developing senior leaders and building bench. Set multi-year channel and assortment strategy, including which products sell through which channels, partner and door prioritization, and the plans of record that guide launch and in-market execution. Lead the introduction of new products into channel, translating product strategy into channel-ready launch plans, assortment, pricing execution, and partner readiness. Own the channel side of international expansion, including in-country channel strategy, market-entry channel readiness, and partner activation, executing against the market priorities set by the commercial and product teams. Lead business planning and operations across channels, including the annual and quarterly sales planning process, gap-to-goal management, forecasting inputs, budget allocation and reallocation, and the operating cadence of reviews and deliverables that keeps the business aligned. Direct sales performance reporting, analytics, and business intelligence, turning channel and partner data into decisions and recommendations for sales leadership. Own partner planning and management by tier, including joint business plans, partner goaling, and partner health, across retail, carrier, and direct-to-consumer. Serve as the senior commercial voice to product and marketing leadership, ensuring product, pricing, and market decisions reflect channel reality and what partners and customers can absorb. Integrate data and AI into planning and operations to sharpen forecasting, decision-making, and efficiency at scale.
