Position Summary:
We're hiring an experienced and strategic Director, Product to lead Trulioo's KYB (Know Your Business) product portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercial success of one of the company's most important product lines, driving innovation across identity verification, compliance, and customer onboarding.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the future of digital identity. You will partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Go-to-Market, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership to deliver market-leading KYB solutions that help organizations build trust, reduce fraud, and meet evolving regulatory requirements around the world.
Success in this role requires balancing long-term strategic thinking with strong operational execution. You will leverage customer insights, market intelligence, emerging technologies, and AI-driven innovation to identify new growth opportunities, accelerate product development, improve decision-making, and create differentiated customer experiences.
This role is expected to champion the adoption of AI across both our products and product organization: identifying opportunities to embed AI into customer solutions while also leveraging AI to increase team productivity, improve product discovery, and enable faster, higher-quality decision-making.
This is a full-time, permanent position working remotely across Canada or the United States.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
- Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Trulioo's KYB product portfolio, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Partner closely with the Chief Product Officer and executive leadership team to establish strategic priorities, investment decisions, and portfolio planning.
- Identify emerging market trends, regulatory changes, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to continuously evolve product strategy and maintain market leadership.
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner opportunities that accelerate innovation and expand Trulioo's platform capabilities.
Product Execution
- Lead the successful delivery of product initiatives from concept through launch and continuous optimization.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, Partnerships, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Drive product excellence through data-informed prioritization, measurable business outcomes, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
- Own portfolio performance through product health metrics, business KPIs, adoption, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Customer & Market Leadership
- Serve as the executive voice of the customer, building relationships with strategic customers, partners, analysts, and industry leaders to validate product direction and uncover new market opportunities.
- Translate customer insights and market intelligence into actionable product investments that drive adoption, retention, and revenue growth.
- Represent Trulioo externally through customer meetings, executive briefings, conferences, media opportunities, and industry events.
AI & Innovation Leadership
- Drive AI-first product thinking by identifying opportunities to embed AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation into KYB workflows, customer experiences, and risk decisioning.
- Champion AI practices across the product organization, ensuring solutions are scalable, explainable, compliant, and aligned with customer trust.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to improve product discovery, customer research, roadmap planning, documentation, experimentation, and overall organizational productivity.
- Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation with emerging AI capabilities that create differentiated value for customers.
Organizational Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, providing coaching, career development, and strategic guidance.
- Establish strong product management practices, operating rhythms, and frameworks that enable effective prioritization, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across the organization on strategic initiatives and investment priorities.
- Develop annual operating plans, product investment strategies, team budgets, and resource planning.
Go-to-Market Leadership
- Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to develop successful product launch strategies and commercial enablement plans.
- Act as the executive product spokesperson, supporting customer presentations, sales enablement, analyst engagements, thought leadership, and industry events.
- Ensure product positioning clearly communicates Trulioo's differentiated value proposition within the identity and compliance market.
What You’ll Bring:
- 15+ years of experience in software, technology, or product organizations, including 10+ years in Product Management with increasing leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading and scaling product organizations, including mentoring and developing high-performing Product Managers.
- Proven success defining product vision and delivering enterprise SaaS products from strategy through execution and commercialization.
- Deep experience within Identity, KYB, Digital Identity, FinTech, Fraud Prevention, Payments, Risk, or RegTech markets.
- Strong executive leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align diverse stakeholders around a common vision.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer problems, market opportunities, and business objectives into successful product strategies.
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Go-to-Market organizations to deliver complex enterprise software products.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data, customer research, and business metrics to drive product decisions and investment priorities.
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills with experience engaging customers, partners, analysts, and senior leadership.
AI & Emerging Technology Experience
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and modern data technologies, with experience incorporating AI-driven capabilities into enterprise software products.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve product management practices, accelerate product discovery, enhance customer insights, and increase organizational productivity.
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, model governance, explainability, and ethical AI considerations within regulated industries.
- Curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, with the ability to identify practical applications that create meaningful customer and business value.
