Job Description:

The HPE Strategy & Transformation team for Hybrid Cloud is a dynamic organization responsible for working with executive leadership of Hybrid Cloud business unit in advancing the BU strategy and driving key strategic transformation projects.  Additional core responsibilities of the team include managing product portfolio, driving strategic business cadence (strategic business reviews, long-term financial planning etc.), preparing updates for the executive committee/ board and driving cross-functional transformation initiatives. We partner closely with Product, Technology, GTM and Finance functions to deliver on our priorities.

We are seeking a dynamic leader responsible for driving a high-priority transformation initiative. The goal would be to modernize our Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) process into an Agentic AI led operating model that accelerates innovation, improves engineering productivity, enhances quality and reduces time to market across the Hybrid Cloud portfolio.

This leader will be central for driving the outcome across our key product groups and the PDLC personas. The work will be centered around documenting the starting point, designing the end state and driving the implementation to realize the value at stake.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of product development at a large pioneer technology organization. The Director will have significant visibility at the executive level and will play a pivotal role in defining an Agentic AI native operating model for PDLC across the BU.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, executive influence, operational rigor and hands-on execution to accelerate our PDLC transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the multi-year Agentic AI PDLC business transformation spanning underlying tech architecture, tooling, processes, operating model, talent, skills and governance across Product management, Engineering and QA functions
  • Drive large scale change management, executive alignment, communications and adoption programs to embed Agentic AI native ways of working across the org
  • Partner with technical leaders to lead comprehensive starting point assessments across product groups, teams and personas
  • Help design future state operating model for Agentic AI led PDLC
  • Drive implementation and realization of productivity, time-to-market and quality improvements
  • Facilitate decision making among senior leadership by presenting findings, trade-offs and recommendations
  • Define and maintain the transformation roadmap, milestones and report on KPIs/ value realization progress
  • Establish and run weekly governance process

Experience and Education

  • Typically, 15+ years of experience, including 8+ years in progressive leadership roles spanning corporate strategy, management consulting, or technology/ business transformations.
  • Required experience working on tech transformations; B2B technology experience is strongly preferred, particularly with software, artificial intelligence, or cloud infrastructure products.
  • Experience leading or supporting product management, software engineering or digital transformation programs involving workflow automation and organizational redesign within a technology organization is highly preferred.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle (PDLC) and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with strategic and operational project management, cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
  • Proven track record of translating high level strategy into actionable transformation plans

  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
  • Superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills
  • Comfortable in navigating ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, including cross-functional peers and senior leadership
  • Proven ability to work in high performance teams and mentor junior team members

– United States of America: Annual Salary USD 150,500 - 301,500 in Colorado // 163,000 - 326,000 in Massachusetts // 163,000 - 347,500 in California // 143,500 - 347,500 in North Carolina & Texas
The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
