Director of Product, Subscriptions, Billing & Auth
As the Director of Product Management, you will lead the technical product strategy and execution for the foundational pillars of our eCommerce platform: Authentication, Product Catalog, and Digital Order Management. You will be the product architect of our Single View of the Customer, ensuring that whether a user joins us via our Web site, through a partner, Retail stores or via a Mobile App Store (iOS/Android), their identity is secure and their digital entitlements are instantly recognized. You’ll also own our platform capabilities for customers managing their subscriptions and deliver innovative and delightful customer experiences.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a balance of deep technical fluency, strategic foresight, and customer obsession. You aren't just managing a custom-built ecommerce and authentication stack; you are ensuring our platform stays at the forefront of industry best practices to meet evolving consumer expectations for speed, security, and seamless experiences.
This is a Hybrid position located in our Frisco, TX or New York, NY hub locations. We value in-office collaboration and meaningful interactions, so expect that you will be able to be in the office on a regular basis according to team needs. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to Frisco, TX or New York, NY and are not offering relocation assistance at this time
Job Description
About the Role
Strategic Identity Roadmap: Own the strategy for Authentication and Authorization. Beyond standard SSO, you will explore best-in-class solutions (e.g., Passkeys, passwordless) to reduce friction while maintaining a hardened security posture across Web, Mobile, and OEM channels.
Digital Order Management (DOMS): Lead the system of record for all digital transactions. Architect the logic that ingests and reconciles orders from disparate sources (Web checkout, App Store IAP, and OEM partner keys), ensuring a single, accurate "Source of Truth."
Entitlement Engine: Own the logic that determines "who has access to what." You will manage the complex mapping between a successful transaction and the instant activation of digital rights and permissions across all platforms.
Universal Product Catalog: Architect a flexible, centralized catalog that defines our digital SKUs and bundles. You will ensure the catalog is built for business agility, allowing us to pivot and launch new offerings ahead of the competition.
Mobile Store & Partner Strategy: Act as the lead for Apple/Google and OEM provider technical integrations. You will navigate the complexities of third-party receipt validation and entitlement syncing, ensuring we are maximizing the capabilities of each platform.
Strategic Technical Leadership: Partner with Engineering to ensure our custom AWS microservices architecture is not just resilient, but future-proofed against shifting consumer needs and global scalability requirements.
Measure consumer experiences: Think customer-first in designing and launching new front-end experiences across authentication and Account Management. Have a deep understanding of our customer needs and measure performance against our business KPIs
Lead and develop a team of product managers, setting a high bar for product thinking, customer empathy, and delivery rigor
Define a compelling multi-year product vision for subscription management and authentication - and translate it into a sequenced, clearly prioritized roadmap that earns alignment from Engineering, Design, and Leadership
Partner with Engineering, with expertise in diving into the technical services and capabilities – with the goal to build what’s best for the business and the consumer.
Be the connective tissue across eCommerce Product, Engineering, Legal, InfoSec, Analytics, and Finance - ensuring platform capabilities are shaped by business needs and that platform constraints are communicated early and clearly
Make hard prioritization calls: balancing new innovations and features, technical debt, and customer experience improvements
Own the metrics that matter from authentication to subscription management, account updates, and behavioral data that ties directly to our topline business KPIs around retention and ARPU.
Represent your domain in regular leadership forums including annual and quarterly planning, executive deep dives, and bringing forth recommendations grounded in data and customer insight
About You:
You have 10 plus years of experience leading Product Management Teams
You have prior Subscription and Billing Platform experience
You have prior experience in ECommerce solutions
You have acted as a Strategic Product Architect with a background in Computer Science or significant experience leading deep-backend product teams. You can translate a high-level business vision into a scalable technical roadmap.
You are an Industry Visionary: You stay ahead of eCommerce trends and consumer behavior. You know what "best-in-class" looks like for digital onboarding and entitlement management.
You have experience in Complex Digital Ecosystems: Proven experience in an omni-channel environment (Web, Mobile App Stores, and OEM Partners). You understand the nuances of In-App Purchases (IAP) and partner-led provisioning.
You have Order Management Mastery experience building or scaling a Digital Order Management System—focused on state management, reconciliation, and instant entitlement triggers.
You are AWS Fluency, familiar with building/scaling custom products within AWS ecosystem and knowing when to build vs. leverage cloud-native tools.
