Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Electronics America is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly motivated Director of Internal Communications & Samsung US Newsroom to lead two critical pillars of our corporate communications function. This dual-mandate role is responsible for driving an internal communications program that informs, engages, and connects Samsung employees across the United States, while simultaneously overseeing the Samsung US Newsroom — a powerful owned content platform that amplifies the company's voice, stories, and thought leadership to external audiences.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, this individual will serve as a communications leader who is equally comfortable crafting a compelling CEO message as they are analyzing newsroom traffic metrics. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a creative problem solver, and a results-driven professional who consistently looks for smarter, more innovative ways to communicate — and who understands that great communication drives business outcomes.
This role will manage a small team and collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Marketing, Lines of Business PR teams, Executive Leadership, and external agency partners to deliver integrated, high-impact communications programs.

- Own the end-to-end strategy, content development, and day-to-day management of the Samsung Electronics America LinkedIn company page, ensuring it serves as a premier destination for employees, prospective talent, media, industry partners, and business audiences
- Manage the editorial calendar for the newsroom and LinkedIn, working in partnership with PR, product communications, and marketing teams to plan, sequence, and publish content that supports key business moments, product launches, and corporate milestones
- Oversee all back-end operations and website management, including platform maintenance, performance optimization, CMS administration, and coordination with agency and web development partners on technical enhancements and site updates
- Develop and publish compelling owned content and storytelling — including feature articles, executive bylines, innovation stories, corporate responsibility narratives, and multimedia content — that positions Samsung as a leader in its industry
- Ensure all content published to the newsroom meets the highest standards of accuracy, brand voice, AP style, and legal compliance, managing an internal review and approval process efficiently and effectively
- Monitor and analyze newsroom performance metrics, including traffic, engagement, content reach, and media pickup, delivering regular reports and insights to leadership and key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for platform innovation, including new content formats, multimedia integrations, GEO improvements, and enhanced user experience features that keep the Samsung US Newsroom at the forefront of owned media excellence
