Role and Responsibilities
The Director, CE Merchandising Operations, serves as a senior cross-functional leader responsible for shaping and advancing retail channel strategies across the Consumer Electronics Business. Based on-site at our Plano, TX headquarters, this role provides strategic direction and organizational leadership across merchandise and deployment programs, customer account partnerships, fixture development, and field execution initiatives. The Director aligns cross-functional stakeholders — including marketing, product, supply chain, and retail partners — around a unified vision for in-store brand presence and sales performance. With accountability spanning multiple product categories, including DA, TV, AV and Monitor, as well as key customer accounts, this leader drives long-term program innovation, operational excellence, and resource optimization while ensuring consistency, quality, and measurable impact across thousands of retail locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Cross-Functional Leadership in Fixture Deployment & Merchandising across multiple LOBs, including DA, TV, AV and Monitor
- Serve as the senior point of accountability for customer account relationships across key retail partners, ensuring strategic alignment with Consumer Electronics Business objectives.
- Establish and cultivate executive-level relationships with retail partners to influence merchandise and display strategy, drive joint business planning, and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across marketing, product development, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure integrated execution of channel programs and priorities.
- Define a strategic framework for merchandise and display across the Consumer Electronics portfolio, translating business objectives into scalable, customer-ready programs.
- Champion a collaborative internal culture that aligns stakeholders on shared goals, investment priorities, and performance expectations.
- Guide cross-functional and agency design teams in creating fixture solutions that balance brand standards, retailer requirements, functionality, and cost efficiency.
- Establish governance for prototype development and design validation processes, ensuring feasibility, quality, and scalability are assessed prior to full investment.
- Oversee fabrication strategies and partnerships that ensure consistent, on-time, and on-budget delivery of display assets across the portfolio.
- Provide leadership oversight of program planning processes, ensuring appropriate scope, resource allocation, timelines, and success metrics are established for all initiatives.
- Provide strategic oversight and organizational leadership for third-party labor (3PL) partnerships responsible for merchandising and installation execution across 3,000+ retail locations.
- Ensure clear accountability structures and communication channels exist between internal teams, retail partners, and 3PL partners to drive alignment and performance transparency.
- Define and oversee the vendor management strategy for external suppliers and service providers supporting merchandise, display, and field execution programs.
- Provide leadership in contract negotiations, partnership structuring, and performance accountability to ensure vendor relationships deliver quality, speed, and value.
- Identify and develop strategic supplier relationships that support long-term innovation and scalability across the Consumer Electronics Business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in retail channel operations, merchandising, or related functions, with demonstrated leadership at the director level or equivalent.
- Proven ability to develop and execute large-scale, cross-functional strategies within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Deep knowledge of retail merchandising principles, visual merchandising, fixture design, and in-store brand execution.
- Demonstrated success building and managing senior-level customer and partner relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) and retail operations platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data, draw strategic insights, and guide data-driven decision-making.

- Experience leading channel operations or merchandising strategy within the consumer electronics or digital appliance industry.
- Broad understanding of retail landscape trends, evolving shopper behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, think strategically, and translate vision into organizational action.
- Track record of driving innovation in retail experience design and cross-functional program development.
