The Agent Registry team builds the control plane for Google Cloud, Workspace, and Gemini Agent perimeters. Operating as a source of truth, this system discovers, governs, and connects AI Agent, Agent Skill, and Model Context Protocol Server. We build the connective tissue that allows autonomous agents to discover each other, negotiate tasks, and securely execute enterprise data tools.

Canada: $216000 - $221000 (CAD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of software developers, modeling technical excellence and empowering individuals to foster career and leadership growth.
• Drive the technical strategy, system architecture, and core design principles for the Agent Registry control plane while establishing development best practices for performance and reliability.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and cross-functional leaders to define product goals, shape the strategic roadmap, and align short-term delivery with long-term outlook.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal cross-site teams and external partners to drive organizational alignment.
• Manage project execution, set key milestones, and cultivate a positive team culture focused on continuous learning, psychological safety, and impactful delivery.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in software development.
  
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing complex development initiatives at scale and leading high-impact, organization-wide technical efforts.
• Experience with skip-level management and setting up multi-tiered software development teams for success.
• Experience managing frontend developers and collaborating with user experience designers to deliver intuitive, customer-facing platforms.
• Experience building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing development teams with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Understanding of cloud services, system architectures, and large-scale cluster orchestration or production containerization systems.
