Development Engineer 1

Job Summary & Responsibilities
Mechanical Drafting
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Generate detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and installation documentation.
- Apply GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards.
- Support design modifications, product improvements, and ECO implementation.
- Coordinate engineering documentation required for product releases.
Procurement & Supply Chain Support
- Source mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components for prototype and production builds.
- Generate purchase requisitions and support procurement processes.
- Track component lead times and proactively communicate supply risks.
Documentation & Configuration Management
- Maintain BOMs, part numbers, and engineering records.
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and document release processes.
- Ensure documentation is maintained in PLM/PDM systems.
- Track component revisions and supplier change notifications.
Applicants must be able to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Mechanical engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, product development, or engineering support roles.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as:
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Inventor
- AutoCAD
- Experience creating engineering drawings and maintaining BOMs.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, and engineering documentation.
- Experience working with suppliers and procurement activities.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.

Compensation & Growth
• Base Salary Range:
$60,080.00 - $90,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.- Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
