Does the thought of working with a team of expert engineers developing and architecting custom solutions that enable the realization and manufacture next generation technologies such as 5G wireless, 6G wireless/technologies, Electric Vehicles (EVs), Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), electronic warfare, satellite communications, quantum computing and silicon photonics excite you?  Keysight’s Global Solutions Enablement (GSE) team is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a motivated technical intern with an engineering background interested in entering the solutions engineering/technical marketing/business development field to join our team of experienced Solutions Engineers and Solution Architects specializing in developing custom solutions for Keysight’s lead and strategic customers.

The main responsibilities of the Global Solutions Enablement (GSE) Intern are to:

Be a lead technical interface driving, developing, and delivering technical solution briefs, sales tools, solution proposals, and collateral to our internal solution engineering teams, the Keysight field sales team and our strategic customers.  To achieve these responsibilities a successful candidate will have the ability to collect and translate internal Keysight solution designs and/or customer technical requirements to implementable, differentiated, solution collateral and technical proposals that use Keysight’s measurement and solution technology.

You will receive mentoring and guidance to build a deep understanding of core test & measurement equipment and solution concepts necessary for architecting and delivering custom integrated solutions based on Keysight hardware, software and occasionally 3rd party products. We like to refer to this as Hardware + Software + People (you!) = Solutions.

Keysight is seeking a motivated and technical intern with relevant engineering and marketing education/experience, the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and aptitude to build professional tools, technical collateral and relationships that augment our strong team of solution experts.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop understanding of tests for R&D, design verification, and manufacturing
• Delivering collateral to aid commissioning of custom solutions
• Identify and develop internal marketing and solution overviews that can be used by the field to leverage solutions throughout the market
• Developing content for solution proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Interface and build relationships with customers and internal teammates
• Assist lead Project Managers with proposals (internal and external)
• Producing a high degree of internal and external customer satisfaction
• The ability to effectively communicate value propositions, ideas, and points of view is very important skill for success in this position

Education/Experience:

• Working toward a BS/MS in electrical engineering, software engineering or equivalent education/experience
• Desired - relevant experience or interest in technical marketing or relevant experience
• Relevant experience in a technical, customer facing role

Technical Skills:

• Experience/understanding of electronic test, measurement concepts and engineering tools
• Understanding of RF and digital test systems and technologies 
• Knowledge in programming/scripting languages such as C#, Python, Matlab, OpenTAP, and Labview for use in automation 
• Experience in designing/using complex test solutions is desirable
• Ability to translate complex solutions into understandable marketing collateral
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams)

Soft skills:

• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication skills (cross hierarchy, cultural, presenting and written)
• Good negotiation skills, ability to formulate trade-off criteria (technical – commercial)
• Comfortable presenting to technical audiences
• Inquisitive, curious, innovative and self-motivated
• Self-starter and ability to remain productive in a dynamic environment w/ limited direction

The level of role will be based on appliable experience, education and skills; most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range listed below:

CA pay range MIN $40.62 - MAX $61.56
