We are searching for a Creative Manager who will report to the Creative Hub Manager and lead end-to-end creative production for Amazon's London Creative Hub. This is a people manager role: the successful candidate will directly manage a team of Art Directors, Videographers, and creative professionals, owning their development, performance, and day-to-day direction. The Creative Manager will influence project management, coordinate with Producers on production schedules and budgets, and other stakeholders (who are cross-functional partners, not direct reports), and drive creative excellence across video, virtual production, photography, and motion content. This person must also have a strong understanding of generative AI tools and their application in creative workflows, as well as virtual production technologies.
Key job responsibilities
Your day begins with a scan of live production schedules and a quick check-in with your direct reports Art Directors, Stylists, Videographers to align on the day's priorities and clear any blockers before the studio floor gets busy. Mid-morning might see you leading a creative kick-off for a new video campaign, working through references and art direction with the team, before shifting into a storyboard or shot list review for a shoot already in motion. You'll stay closely connected with Producers throughout the day as a key stakeholder on timelines, resource allocation, and budget ensuring nothing slips between creative ambition and operational reality. By the afternoon, you're likely on set: overseeing a live video production, making real-time creative calls, and ensuring everything is captured to brief and to schedule. Alternatively, you might be in a post-production review session giving feedback on edits, grading, and pacing to bring a project over the line. The day closes with stakeholder updates, a 1:1 with a team member focused on development or creative growth, and forward-planning against the next production milestone.
