Description and Requirements
We are looking for a Legal Counsel who will be responsible for supporting multiple Greater Asia Pacific countries in a general advisory capacity. Reporting into GTAP Regional Counsel, this role will provide broad-based, general local legal support for all Lenovo entities, operations and facilities. The Legal Counsel will be part of the Asia Pacific (AP) Legal Team and will work closely with Global Contracts Team, as well as with Lenovo’s legal specialists in the Business Groups and Global Functions (including coordination with the Litigation, Compliance and Employment lawyers).
Key activities include:
- All round legal support for assigned jurisdictions
- Legal Support for Business Groups, Global Projects and Initiatives
- Dispute Resolution and Litigation (commercial and consumer, occasionally labor )
- Compliance - Internal Policies and Local Laws -- Training and Investigations
- Regulatory Compliance (including consumer, product, trade and competition laws, and interactions with government agencies)
- External Communications and Marketing guidance
- Local Corporate Governance matters
- Real Estate issues
- Tax Matters
- Sales Support - Channel, eCommerce and Public Sector legal issues
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Law. Other relevant university work is appreciated
- 8+ years of legal experience in an international environment
- Fluent in English and any local languages would be an advantage
- All-round lawyer
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving mind and ability to prioritize tasks
- Team player and able to work under pressure
- Able to work with a high level of autonomy in a virtual environment
- Flexible and always open for change
