Position Overview Solve the industry's toughest DFT and test challenges. As a Corporate Application Consultant with our Application Engineering team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to leading semiconductor companies deploying our Tessent technologies. You'll engage directly with customers on cutting-edge SoC designs, helping them overcome complex Design-for-Test challenges while influencing the evolution of market-leading test solutions.
This role is ideal if you enjoy solving difficult technical problems, building strong customer partnerships, and working on advanced semiconductor technologies at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for customers deploying Tessent technologies across advanced SoC and semiconductor designs.
- Partner closely with leading semiconductor companies to train, architect, debug, and optimize DFT methodologies throughout the silicon lifecycle.
- Drive customer success by enabling efficient adoption of Tessent flows and helping customers achieve ambitious quality, coverage, yield, and time-to-market goals.
- Lead root-cause analysis and debugging activities involving RTL, gate-level, post-silicon, and tester environments.
- Collaborate with R&D to diagnose issues, influence product improvements, and accelerate customer productivity.
- Develop technical training, methodologies, and knowledge assets to support global customer success.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the global application engineering community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in semiconductor design, DFT implementation, silicon validation, test engineering, or EDA applications engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Design-for-Test methodologies, including 1149.x BoundaryScan, MemoryBIST, IJTAG, ATPG, compression, and silicon diagnosis across complex SoC designs.
- Hands-on experience debugging issues across RTL, gate-level, post-silicon, and tester environments.
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and scripting languages such as Tcl or Python.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging skills, and excellent customer-facing communication and presentation capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tessent tools and methodologies.
- Exposure to AI, HPC, Automotive, Networking, Mobile, or consumer SoCs.
- Familiarity with synthesis, timing, verification, and physical implementation flows.
- Experience in customer-facing Application Engineering, Consulting, or Technical Support roles.
