Tesla is looking for a Construction Manager to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach.  Our environment is fast-paced and incredibly exciting. The position is located in Sparks, NV.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Civil and Architectural work, while developing execution plans that ensure cost and schedule targets are met
  • Develop and submit funding requests for new projects, and present project status updates to executive leadership
  • Conduct constructability reviews throughout design development to confirm that engineering documents align with project requirements
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and drive timely resolution of technical issues
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop biddable work packages and validate contractor proposals against cost and schedule estimates
  • Coordinate and interface with engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and safety throughout all phases of field execution

Requirements

  • Degree or related 10+ years field experience
  • Experience as a Construction Manager on +100M industrial or commercial construction projects 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite products, Bluebeam and Plangrid
  • Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field to ensure project objectives are being met
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
  • Willingness to travel as needed
