Construction Manager Data Center Facilities Development

The Construction Manager, Data Center Facilities Development provides day-to-day, on-site leadership for data center construction delivery in Thailand. Working with project management, design, commissioning, operations, contractors, and specialist vendors, the role oversees construction execution across base building, fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, controls, security, and enabling works.

The position is accountable for site safety, quality assurance, programme and milestone control, contractor coordination, risk management, and issue resolution. The Construction Manager ensures work is delivered in accordance with approved designs, project requirements, and applicable local regulations, while coordinating the construction-to-commissioning transition and supporting a smooth final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of data center facilities development, including base building, fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, controls, security, and enabling works.
• Manage contractors and specialist vendors across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, BMS, fire, and security packages.
• Drive site planning, sequencing, look-aheads, access, permits, RAMS, workface planning, and constraint removal.
• Maintain control of RFIs, submittals, ITPs, inspections, NCRs, punch lists, progressive turnover, and closeout activities.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones, escalate delivery risks, and implement recovery actions where required.
• Lead QA/QC activities and ensure work complies with approved designs, project standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning readiness with commissioning and operations teams, including test readiness, evidence packs, redlines, as-builts, and turnover requirements.
• Maintain clear daily and weekly reporting on progress, risks, issues, constraints, quality, and readiness.
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and delivery partners.

Required Experience and Skills

• 7+ years of construction experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, or similarly complex facilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading site-based construction delivery and managing multiple contractors.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and critical-systems construction, including construction-to-commissioning handover.
• Proven QA/QC and documentation discipline, including ITPs, inspections, NCRs, defect management, and closeout.
• Strong programme, risk, issue, and stakeholder-management capability.
• Experience using project and document-control platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, or similar.
• Ability to work full-time from the Thailand project site and travel domestically as required.

Preferred

• Experience delivering high-density or AI-ready data center infrastructure.
• Construction, engineering, or trade qualification.
• Demonstrated safety leadership credentials.
