At EA, we believe games are powerful because they bring together multiple ways people engage: play, watch, create, and connect. And increasingly, the biggest entertainment platforms aren't just places to consume content — they're places where communities build.

Creator-made content is already a proven part of EA's history — from community creation tools in Battlefield to The Gallery in The Sims 4. We believe new creative technologies and tools will expand how players engage with and contribute to our experiences, supported by thoughtful product design, safety systems, and global reach. Our focus is on enabling more players to participate in creative expression by making creation easier, safer, and more rewarding.

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will define the visual style, interaction patterns, and overall usability for our player-facing creative interfaces. Partnering closely with game designers, engineers, and product managers, you will translate player needs into clear, production-ready interfaces that empower community creation.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week at our office in Redwood City (California), Montreal or Vancouver (Canada) studio.

The Senior UX/UI Designer will report to the Head of Technical Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Player Interfaces: Create user-centered flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI mockups for player-facing creation tools and systems.
  • Establish Visual Standards: Build design system guidelines, typography, iconography, and interaction standards across the product.
  • Prototype & Test: Build interactive prototypes and partner with research teams to test designs through user playtests and iterative feedback cycles.
  • Collaborate with Engineering: Partner with software engineers to implement designs at high fidelity within engine constraints.
  • Bridge Disciplines: Work cross-functionally with product, game design, and art leads to align user experience with overall game vision.
  • Refine Workflows: Explore modern design tooling and emerging workflows to streamline prototyping and handoff processes.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience designing digital product or game interfaces as a UX designer, UI designer, or product designer.
  • A portfolio showcasing high-fidelity visual design, interaction design, layout hierarchy, and design system work.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools, such as Figma or equivalent applications.
  • Experience collaborating directly with engineers through design implementation and design review cycles.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain design decisions and incorporate constructive feedback.
  • Understanding of user-centered design processes and experience conducting or participating in usability testing.
  • Experience designing gameplay UI or interface systems for PC/console platforms (such as Steam or Epic Games Store) is beneficial.

We are a diverse, goal-driven team that offers real influence and autonomy to every member. Our ideal candidate is curious, open-minded, and thrilled by exploring fresh concepts and tailoring them for game development. If you are a passionate, creative, and communicative individual who is deeply invested in innovating across new domains of gaming, we want you on our team.
