Within Finance's Global Business Solutions organisation, the Hire to Retire (H2R) team powers the technology, data, and processes that support Apple employees around the world. Our Compensation Services Quality Assurance team safeguards the integrity of the integrated systems relied on daily by employees, business partners, and vendors, both inside and outside Apple. As a Quality Analyst, you'll be a key contributor within a fast-moving, detail-driven team, helping ensure these systems perform exactly as our people need them to.

Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the systems that support Apple's Compensation Services function. The Quality Analyst will translate business requirements into clear, detailed test scenarios, execute quality assurance activities across the full project lifecycle, and partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure smooth, high-quality deployments to end users.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse business requirements and existing processes to translate them into clear, detailed test scenarios and user stories
  • Execute quality assurance testing across the full project lifecycle, from requirements review through systems release
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive quality test execution and ensure clean handoff for production deployment
  • Own test readiness activities, including script writing, entry/exit criteria definition, and sanity/smoke testing
  • Manage ticket triage and drive timely issue resolution in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Design "what if" test scenarios that stress test system behaviour under unexpected or edge-case conditions
  • Continuously improve testing processes to reduce regression cycle time, with a long-term goal of full automation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst, business analyst, or quality analyst on complex technology projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated experience breaking down business processes and documenting the steps required to execute a test
  • Proven ability to work independently and deliver accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience working across cross functional, multinational teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday projects and deployments
  • Familiarity with integrated payroll solutions (e.g. ADP, PwC)
  • Practical experience with timekeeping/workforce management systems (e.g. Kronos) and integrated payroll platforms
  • Background in HR operations, employee support, or HR data administration
  • Working knowledge of QA methodologies and testing best practices
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering teams to reproduce and resolve complex technical issues
  • Track record of generating urgency and rallying cross functional teams to drive timely resolution
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and attention to detail in equal measure
