Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications.
Summery of the Role - Communications principal specialist, Bulgaria and EMEA employee communications
This role serves as the communications lead for the Bulgaria site and partners closely with site leadership, HR, and the global communications team to drive employee engagement, organizational communications, and employer branding initiatives. The role also supports communications and engagement activities across GF's smaller EMEA locations, ensuring employees receive consistent, relevant, and locally meaningful communications aligned with company priorities.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary communications partner for the Bulgaria site, advising site leadership and HR on employee communications, engagement, and communication planning
Develop and execute site communications strategies that align local priorities with GF's global communications objectives
Create, edit, and publish employee communications including announcements, articles, newsletters, leadership messages, intranet content, and employee stories
Support site leadership communications, employee meetings, town halls, all-hands sessions, site visits, and employee events
Lead site engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, employee connection, recognition, and understanding of company priorities
Develop and execute employer branding activities that support talent attraction, recruitment marketing, community engagement, and GF's reputation as an employer of choice
Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and business leaders to support recruiting campaigns, onboarding communications, and workforce growth initiatives
Manage external agencies, vendors, and communications-related budgets as needed to support employee communications, employer branding, events, and strategic engagement initiatives across Bulgaria and EMEA sites
Manage site content for internal and external channels, ensuring messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned with corporate standards
Identify and promote employee success stories, innovation highlights, culture initiatives, and community impact programs
Build relationships with key stakeholders across the Bulgaria site to understand employee needs and communication opportunities
Regional EMEA responsibilities
Serve as the employee communications and engagement lead for GF's smaller EMEA locations, partnering with local leaders and HR representatives
Coordinate communications activities across multiple sites to ensure consistency with GF's global messaging, campaigns, and employee experience priorities
Act as an extension of the global employee communications team, adapting global programs and campaigns for local audiences
Establish and maintain a network of site communications representatives across EMEA to support local execution and employee engagement activities
Share best practices, engagement ideas, and communication resources across EMEA sites to improve consistency and effectiveness
Gather employee feedback, engagement insights, and communication effectiveness metrics and provide recommendations to local and global stakeholders
Foster collaboration across Communications, HR, site leadership, and business teams to strengthen employee engagement and organizational alignment
Success profile
Strong communications and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging employee communications
Experience partnering with leaders and HR teams on organizational communications and employee engagement initiatives
Fluency in English - both written and spoken
Bachelor or Masters degree in Marketing, Communications or a relevant business discipline
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across different countries, locations, and cultures
Experience supporting employer branding, recruiting communications, community engagement, or corporate reputation initiatives
Strong judgment, collaboration skills, and ability to balance local needs with global communications objectives
