Position Description
Join Siemens DI in Thane (Taloja) to lead the strategic procurement lifecycle. We are looking for a solution-oriented expert to not only manage commodities but to actively innovate our sourcing strategies. You will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing facility receives the right quality, at the right price, at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement robust procurement strategies for direct materials (Fabrication, RM Flanges/ Pipes, Copper Coils, Rubber/Plastic components, and 'C' class items).
- Cost Optimization: Drive significant cost savings through competitive bidding, e-Auctions, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis.
- Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the primary interface between internal teams (Engineering, Quality, Project Management) and external vendors to align technical requirements with commercial goals.
- Contract Excellence: Negotiate complex techno-commercial terms and secure long-term supply agreements (LTSA) that ensure business continuity.
- Supplier Development: Periodically review and elevate supplier performance, ensuring strict adherence to Siemens’ EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and quality standards.
- Digital Leadership: Independently leverage Siemens Procurement Tools and e-Auction platforms to streamline sourcing activities."
- Manages Complex Categories & Supply Chains: Oversees technologically demanding procurement categories and complex supply chains, partnering closely with specialized engineering and technical stakeholders.
- Orchestrates End-to-End Continuity & Resources: Manages material flows, supplier capacity, and delivery schedules across production lines and shifts, proactively planning and executing resource measures to prevent bottlenecks.
- Drives Financial Governance & Reporting: Partners with budget-accountable leadership to optimize category cost structures, track financial targets, and report strategic sourcing performance to plant and procurement management.
- Ensures Process Compliance & Stakeholder Alignment: Fosters strong cross-functional and external supplier relationships while interpreting procurement guidelines, resolving supply issues, and advising operational teams on best practices.

- Engineered flexible procurement mechanisms to rapidly pivot material and supplier resources in alignment with changing shop-floor priorities, protecting delivery reliability, safety, and operational effectiveness."
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- BE - Mechanical / Electrical / Production with minimum 8-12 years of experience in procurement.
- Both advanced practical and theoretical understanding and some significant advanced hands on experience is required to oversee and manage the diverse and relatively complex tasks
- in the related field of work.
- Learning attitude is a MUST.
- Hands on experience in implementing "Supplier Strategy" .
- Soft skill like MS - Excel , Word ,PPT.
- Hands on experience in SAP ,SCM Start, SCM core, AI negotiation tools.
