What a College Intern - Business Process Automation does at HP:

  • Identify opportunities to improve business workflows by reducing manual effort, simplifying data consolidation, and improving process visibility.
  • Develop or support automation solutions such as workflows, dashboards, scripts, data templates, or low-code applications to improve productivity and reporting accuracy.
  • Gather user requirements, document current processes, and translate process gaps into practical improvement ideas.
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to track efficiency gains and enable better decision-making.
  • Assist in testing, validating, documenting, and deploying automation solutions for business users.
  • Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to understand workflow needs, support adoption, and present project outcomes.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Currently pursuing a university degree or polytechnic diploma in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Interest or experience in automation, AI tools, scripting, data analytics, dashboarding, or workflow digitization.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, Python, Excel, or RPA concepts is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate across different functions or time zones.
  • Growth mindset, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
