We’re leading the way in Agentic AI development where AI agents streamline development and operations. As an AI Apps Solution Engineer, you’ll help customers boost productivity and become AI-native.

As a Cloud & AI Apps Solution Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprise AI developers unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s AI-powered stack across every stage of the development lifecycle. You will work directly with technical and business stakeholders to design secure, scalable, and resilient Agentic AI architectures that support business-critical applications and Frontier AI transformation. As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll guide customers and win their technical decisions on Azure for their Agentic AI deployment.

You bring deep expertise in Agentic AI workloads—including Foundry Models & Services, Copilot Studio, Microsoft IQ, and cloud-native development while exploring how to accelerate Frontier transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead customer engagements focused on Agentic AI and AI application platforms, guiding technical strategy, solution adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
Drive technical workshops, live demonstrations, architectural whiteboarding sessions, rapid prototyping, hands-on proof-of-concepts, and pilot deployments to accelerate customer success.
Design and articulate secure, scalable, and resilient Agentic AI architectures that align with customer business objectives and enterprise requirements.
Prove the value of technical solutions by co-creating architectures, validating designs, influencing technical decisions, and enabling customer commitment to deployment.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to developers, architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders throughout the customer journey.
Accelerate customer adoption of Microsoft AI services by identifying business opportunities, addressing technical blockers, and demonstrating measurable business value.
Collaborate with product engineering, customer success, partner teams, and solution specialists to deliver end-to-end AI transformation outcomes.
Drive technical strategy and architecture discussions around application modernization, cloud-native development, and AI-powered application experiences.
Stay current on emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings to provide customers with innovative technical guidance.
Share technical best practices, reusable architectures, reference implementations, and customer success patterns across the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
Maintain deep technical expertise in Agent Development, Azure AI Foundry Models & Services, Copilot Studio, Microsoft IQ, AI application architecture, cloud-native development, APIs, containerization, microservices, event-driven architectures, Python, Java, and .NET.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.

6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.

Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).

- Expert on full stack App architecture design / modernization and cloud native dev (e.g., App Platform Services, Container Services, Serverless & Supporting App Services, Integration Services, dev tools & languages)
- Expert for Agent development, Foundry Models (Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, 1P MaaS), Fabric IQ, Foundry IQ, familiar with Foundry Services (AML), Copilot Studio Platform.
- Proven ability to lead technical engagements (e.g., prototyping, pilot, PoCs) that drive production-scale outcomes.

Solution Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year.
