Client Performance Senior Specialist - Performance Clients
A Little About Us
The Yahoo Ads Client Experience and Performance (CXP) team is dedicated to building and maintaining deep partnerships with Yahoo's most valuable clients. We serve as the operational engine for Yahoo Advertising, bridging the gap between sales strategy and technical execution to ensure our clients achieve world-class results.
About the Role
As a Client Performance Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation, management, and evaluation of programmatic performance ad campaigns — also known as native — advertising: lower-funnel campaigns built to drive action and conversion rather than broad awareness. You will work day to day in a DSP environment, building, managing, and optimizing campaigns in our performance platform. A portion of this book of business is self-service, where clients run campaigns themselves in our platform, so your support model will look different from account to account.
This role requires close collaboration with Yahoo's sales reps, Client Experience Leads, and clients to ensure the success of ad campaigns from inception to completion. The CP team thrives in a fast-paced work environment and excels both individually and as part of a team. Adaptability, quick learning, and an understanding of current programmatic trends are essential.
In this role, you will manage high-value campaigns for clients, providing the expertise needed to optimize performance and protect revenue. You will take ownership of complex workstreams and serve as a go-to resource for your teammates on operational best practices across all Yahoo ad platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end operational oversight of campaign and creative setup and billing in our Native platform, partnering with internal entities such as Yahoo Brand Studios, Legal, and Financial Operations to ensure quality execution.
- Oversee the creation and management of complex creative/ad builds across all platforms, ensuring technical specifications and client KPIs are met.
- Monitor delivery and performance of high-value campaigns against conversion and action-based KPIs, collaborating proactively with account teams to enhance results and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Support self-service advertisers running campaigns in our platform, stepping in on setup guidance, troubleshooting, and optimization where needed.
- Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in daily workflows to reduce manual tasks and accelerate campaign launch timelines.
- Act as a key consultant for sales reps and Client Experience Leads, providing creative performance evaluations that translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Partner with legal, billing and collections teams to resolve complex issues, ensuring seamless financial reconciliation for your book of business.
- Utilize AI-augmented analysis to detect delivery anomalies or performance trends, suggesting proactive creative optimizations to client teams.
- Replace repetitive reporting or administrative tasks with automated or AI-assisted workflows to focus on high-impact strategic work.
- Lead specific project phases or team-wide workstreams, providing operational guidance and mentorship to colleagues.

- Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-value projects under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal guidance, prioritizing high-impact goals and making sound judgments in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically in a cross-functional environment involving Sales and Legal.
- Technical proficiency with Google Workspace and macOS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building workflows or solutions with Claude, or a comparable record of putting AI tools to work in an operational role.

- Experience with advanced digital advertising platforms and a deep understanding of current industry trends.
- Experience supporting self-service or managed-service advertisers.
- Previous experience in a client-facing operational role for a large-scale media company.
