Description

Based in Shenzhen, you will lead on-site Capital Equipment program management at a designated contract manufacturing site. Working cross-functionally, you will drive the execution of program plans for both new and sustaining operations. You will plan, develop, and execute capital equipment deployment to support manufacturing by partnering with teams in the US and China. In this role, you will lead asset lifecycle management while collaborating closely with regional product line executives and contract manufacturer leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day program activities to achieve overall program objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional communication between internal Apple teams and contract manufacturer organizations.
  • Foster collaboration across engineering functions, operations, and external vendors.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, providing timely issue resolution and critical path management.
  • Deliver comprehensive status updates across projects to executive management.
  • Review capital equipment consumable spend with contract manufacturers and partner with Global Supply Managers to minimize waste.
  • Guide contract manufacturer teams on on-site equipment management—including quantity tracking, status monitoring, repair, calibration, and spare parts—to ensure traceability and usability of Apple’s assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Background in functional and program management within a matrix environment across multiple sites through the complete asset lifecycle (Concept, Approval, Deployment, Transfer, Scrap).
  • Understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or evidence of equivalent knowledge.
  • Track record of managing capital equipment repair and scrap processes.
  • Background in complex capital equipment industries such as defense, aerospace, automotive, or agricultural machinery.
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing environments.
  • Competency in spreadsheet and presentation software.
