Calibration Tech 1
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
This position will be reporting to the Mfg/Operations Supervisor:
Principal Responsibilities:
•Perform calibration, testing, and verification of instruments, tools, and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with required standards and specifications.
•Document calibration results, maintain detailed records, and update calibration databases to ensure traceability and adherence to quality system requirements.
•Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify out of tolerance conditions, and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed to restore proper functionality.
•Support audits, quality inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical expertise on measurement systems and calibration procedures.
Required Skills:
•Minimum of 0-1 years of related experience
•Strong understanding of calibration principles and metrology, including measurement uncertainty, traceability, and instrument specifications.
•Proficiency with calibration tools and equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and other test instruments.
•Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including equipment manuals, schematics, calibration procedures, and industry standards.
•Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills, with the ability to record accurate data, maintain calibration records, and follow quality system requirements.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
•Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
•Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
•Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
