The Global Payroll Services team is seeking an experienced Business systems analyst with strong data automation capabilities to provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive payroll support for multiple countries.
Description
Provides high quality customer service to both internal and external groups
Work with business users, payroll managers, and vendors to gather, define, and document functional requirements for SAP technical solutions and non SAP payroll systems
Master data management and data audits for payroll
Knowledge of PWC/ non-SAP payroll to manage
Payroll Managed service model experience
Daily support of payroll on monitoring, testing, and performance issues
Analyses and explains all components of payroll processing
Identifies, analyses, researches and resolves errors and discrepancies between Apple’s internal HR/Employee systems and the payroll system to ensure accurate system status prior to payroll processing
Ensures all documentation is properly updated and supported according to company policies, procedures, regulatory practices and legal requirements
Solves day-to-day operational problems of varied scope and complexity
Design and implement automated data workflows using Dataiku to streamline payroll data processing and validation
Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards for real-time payroll metrics, trends analysis, and executive reporting
Apply machine learning techniques to identify patterns, predict payroll anomalies, and optimize payroll processes
Automate data quality checks and reconciliation processes between multiple payroll systems
Supports global peers, acting as a back-up or additional resource for audits, error handling, and payroll processing in the AMR/ EMEA/ APAC regions
Handling of confidential data and understanding of responsibility
Assists other analysts when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of payroll systems and processes relevant to system functionality being supported by Apple - Employee Systems, Kronos, ADP Global view Payroll, PWC payroll
- Hands on experience in dealing with integrations such as GL Postings, Stock, Benefits, Banking and other 3rd party connections
- Familiarity with the Payroll modules in the system like SAP HR, PWC and other payrolls
- Workday process and integration with payroll system knowledge, preferred
- Support Global Payroll systems for technical defects, enhancements or regular maintenance for Payroll Operations/Processing teams on system issues
- Interfaces: Manual G2 creation for massive uploads and Maintain G2 configuration interface (internal and external)
- Functional payroll knowledge of global countries
- Create and update system issues tickets as needed, hold regular calls with IS&T, ADP and business partners to communicate & monitor issue closure
- Participate in cross-functional testing by creating scenarios, executing test cases, help signing-off and moving changes to production
- Providing consulting in system behavior queries and configuration support as needed for Comp services
- Strong communication skills with different partners, internal & external
- Manage timely communications on critical issues to leadership regarding system and customer impacts
- Availability to work outside business hours to support payroll processing times
- Education - Qualifications are generally met by someone who has a technical Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for large MNC s as support or implementation consultant
- Experience supporting or implementing multiple country payrolls in SAP and non-SAP
- Basic understanding of data automation platforms, particularly Dataiku for building and deploying data pipelines and workflows
- Basic understanding of Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and data visualization for payroll analytics and reporting
- Basic understanding of basic AI/ML models including predictive analytics, classification algorithms, and anomaly detection for payroll data analysis
- Basic understanding in automating repetitive payroll processes using data science tools and techniques
- Experience in driving automation and process improvements
