Central Operations' mandate is to centralize all tasks that can be centralized across Japan's 200+ last mile node network. Thanks to CO, tasks can be standardized, optimized and automated, resulting in better delivery experience for customers, at a lower cost. Strategically, the team allows JP Ops to grow by double digits every year, without increasing complexity and cost at the same rate.
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive the use of AI and automation in analytics, powering executive-level decision making for Central Operations. In this role you will define and implement scalable data solutions, diving deep into operational metrics across capacity planning, forecasting, and real-time delivery execution. You will apply both business and technical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and innovative environment where your work directly impacts millions of daily customer deliveries.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working as a BIE in a technology company
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
