The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

We are looking for a Business Excellence Professional to join our team. This position will be based at our Spartanburg, SC location.

The Business Excellence Professional is responsible for contributing to and delivering business processes, improvement initiatives, and detailed operational solutions in a self-managed and target-oriented manner. This role supports team results by analyzing, developing, testing, and implementing process improvements, technologies, and systems within the Business Excellence field of expertise.

You’ll make an impact by:

Business Process & Project Execution

• Contribute to and deliver Business Excellence processes, improvement activities, and detailed operational solutions aligned with team and business objectives.
• Manage assigned work packages, milestones, timelines, and deliverables in a self-managed and target-oriented manner.
• Analyze, develop, test, and implement process improvements, technologies, and systems within the Business Excellence area of expertise.
• Develop project documentation, improvement plans, business cases, implementation roadmaps, and performance tracking methods.
• Monitor progress against short- to medium-term targets and support achievement of measurable business results.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Shopfloor Management, Leader Standard Work, Kaizen, Visual Management, and Standardized Work methodologies to improve business performance.
• Use experienced-level analytical and conceptual skills to solve operational issues that may differ in size, scope, and complexity.
• Consider upstream and downstream processes, related workflows, and cross-functional dependencies when developing improvement solutions.
• Support the implementation of sustainable process controls, governance routines, and accountability systems.

Operational Excellence

• Conduct process reviews, operational assessments, and Value Stream Mapping activities to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate processes and results generated across related workflows and disciplines to determine their impact on team and business outcomes.
• Track and report productivity gains, savings, quality improvements, process stability, and operational performance indicators.
• Apply professional know-how within Business Excellence while expanding knowledge across a broader operational and manufacturing context.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with plant leadership, manufacturing engineering, production supervisors, planning, logistics, quality, and other functional partners.
• Provide functional advice to operational staff, support teams, and semi-professional colleagues as needed.
• Integrate input and services from operational and support functions to ensure alignment and effective execution.
• Communicate progress, risks, next steps, and results clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Coaching & Capability Development

• Provide general guidance or training to support staff, operational personnel, and professional colleagues on Lean and Business Excellence practices.
• Facilitate training sessions related to Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Management, Shopfloor Management, and Continuous Improvement tools.
• Support capability building across teams by sharing practical knowledge, lessons learned, standards, and best practices.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Business Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement
• Experience contributing to and delivering business processes, improvement initiatives, or detailed operational solutions in a self-managed manner.
• Practical experience analyzing, developing, testing, or implementing process improvements, technologies, or systems within a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, standard work, and process performance improvement.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification.
• Project Management training or qualification consistent with PM@Siemens standards.

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
