About the Team

Are you a driven Business Development Representative who wants to make your mark with a global leader? Do you thrive on building relationships, beating targets and leading from the front?

Workday is hiring a Business Development Representative (Supporting Hong Kong) to join our fast-moving Singapore team. You'll help shape how the market sees Workday and open the door to our next generation of customers.

About the Role

Our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) are the front line of Workday's customer engagement. For many future customers, you'll be their first impression of Workday.

You'll manage both inbound and outbound leads and play a central role in building our sales pipeline. You'll identify and qualify opportunities, then hand them to our Account Executives. You'll also partner with regional marketing teams to run campaigns and share what you learn from the market. Alongside Account Executives, you'll shape account engagement strategies that win.

What You'll Do

  • Drive high-impact prospecting activity and research target accounts in depth, so you understand the forces shaping their industries.
  • Engage C-suite executives with confidence and clearly explain the value of Workday's solutions.
  • Manage, qualify and nurture inbound and outbound leads, then hand over sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Understand how business decisions affect capital allocation and operational strategy, and use that to frame relevant conversations.
  • Position Workday's platform against enterprise modernisation and risk management priorities.
  • Run campaigns with regional marketing teams and bring back insights from your customer conversations.
  • Work with Account Executives to build and refine targeted account engagement strategies.

About You

We're looking for people who embody the Workday spirit and possess the following skills:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Fluent in Cantonese & English is essential.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Hong Kong businesses and the local market landscape.
  • Exceptional Work Ethic: You are self-motivated, driven, and hungry for success. Whether it's in sales, sports, or any endeavor, your commitment to learning, growing, and achieving is paramount.
  • Sales Acumen: You possess a strong understanding of sales principles, a knack for identifying opportunities, and the ability to articulate value effectively.

Other Qualifications:

  • Exceptional work ethic: You're self-motivated, driven and hungry to succeed. Whether in sales, sport or any other pursuit, you're committed to learning, growing and achieving.
  • Natural leadership: You don't wait for permission to act. You might have captained a sports team, held a leadership role at university or started a movement. Either way, you instinctively lead from the front.
  • Values alignment: Our core values guide how we work together. They drive high performance through mutual respect and unwavering trust. We encourage you to explore them on our website.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
