We are seeking a Business Development Manager to help shape the future of Apple Pay in Latin America, one of the fastest-growing digital payments markets globally.
Description
In this individual contributor role, you’ll drive the growth strategy for Apple Pay in Latin America, turning market opportunities into actionable go-to-market plans that deliver measurable results. The position balances external partner engagement with internal collaboration. You’ll work with banks and financial institutions across the full business development lifecycle, including identifying strategic opportunities, communicating the value proposition of new features, negotiating commercial agreements, and leading ongoing partner growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex partnerships with issuers across Latin America
- Translate business and issuer objectives into impactful initiatives that accelerate Apple Pay growth
- Champion new ideas and build alignment across stakeholders to move initiatives forward
- Help shape Apple Pay's product roadmap and long-term growth strategy in Latin America
- Monitor and analyze the regulatory landscape and emerging trends shaping the financial industry in Latin America to inform strategic decision-making
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with banks, fintechs, digital wallets, or payment companies in Mexico; experience in other Latin American markets is a plus
- Background in business development or partnerships
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building strong working relationships internally and externally
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and delivers projects to completion despite ambiguity
- Ability to dive into the details and grasp product nuances to inform strategic decision-making
- Ability and eligibility to travel approximately 10% of the time across Latin America and the U.S.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in payment structures across debit cards, credit cards, and real-time payments, as well as broader banking products and services
- Experience launching payment features with demonstrated business impact
- Ability to develop robust analytical approaches and translate strategy into practical, measurable actions
