Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. TSMC IT is actively seeking software & DevOps engineers to build and scale next-generation intelligent business platforms and products (e.g., Product Lifecycle Management, Customer Relationship Management, ERP, Finance Management System, Supply-Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Employee Experience Related System, Physical Security Management, AI-based Business Solution, etc.) In addition to software development, your duties involve interacting with various engineering teams and working closely with operations and infrastructure teams. Job Responsibilities

1. Design and implement cloud-native microservice architectures.

2. Refactor existing monolithic applications into cloud-native architectures.

3. Deliver full-stack capabilities end-to-end — including backend services, well-structured APIs, and web front-ends — following software engineering best practices (comprehensive testing, code review, version control).

4. Collaborate with SRE to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and actively monitor these metrics.

5. Design service monitoring and alerting systems to effectively track and resolve production service issues.

6. Improve automation continuously for service maintenance and operations.

7. Manage tasks and product release processes.

8. Drive a culture of high-quality software development and deployment processes.

9. Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging IT technologies.

10. Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Proof-of-Concept (POC) delivery.

Job Qualifications

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, a similar technical field of study, or possess equivalent practical experience.

2. Demonstrate experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, Go, Rust, C++, or other relevant programming languages.

3. Exhibit familiarity with Functional Programming, Object-oriented programming, or other programming paradigms (plus).

4. Show familiarity with DevOps technical quality control processes, artifacts, and CI/CD toolchains.

5. Possess experience in container and cloud-native solutions (e.g., K8s, Istio, ArgoCD, MongoDB, Redis) (plus).

6. Bring experience in full-stack web application development and building large-scale software applications (plus).

7. Demonstrate the capability to evaluate and adopt new technologies.

8. Conduct rigorous code reviews (especially on AI-generated code) to ensure high standards of security, performance, and maintainability.

9. Demonstrate AI-assisted engineering capabilities, including the ability to precisely break down requirements, edge cases, and architectural context into structured prompts that yield robust, production-ready code.

10. Apply hands-on experience integrating advanced AI agent workflows, context management, agent-to-agent communication, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or frameworks like LangChain/LlamaIndex into daily engineering practices.
