Job Description
About the Team
The Asia Pacific Total Rewards team is central to Visa's people strategy across one of the company's most dynamic and complex regions. We design and deliver benefit programs that enable Visa to attract, retain, and support exceptional talent across diverse markets, regulatory environments, and employee populations. The team operates with a high degree of trust and direct access to HR and business leadership, our recommendations shape outcomes that are felt by every Visa employee in the region.
We are in a period of active development. That means there is genuine opportunity to influence how benefits are designed, delivered, and experienced across AP, including how the function harnesses AI and data tools to work smarter and advise with greater precision.
The Role
The Benefits Consultant is a strategic contributor to Visa's Total Rewards function in Asia Pacific, responsible for the end-to-end ownership of benefits programs across a portfolio of AP markets. The role demands equal strength in strategic advisory and rigorous execution, engaging senior business leaders, people team and other cross functional partners on program effectiveness while ensuring operational delivery meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
This is an in-house role with real organisational impact. The Benefits Consultant partners with a broad range of stakeholders — from employees seeking guidance on their benefits, to HRBPs navigating complex cases, to business leaders and finance partners requiring data-driven insights on program performance and investment. The ability to communicate credibly and with appropriate depth across all these audiences is essential.
This role reports to the Benefits Director.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Program Ownership Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of benefit programs across an assigned portfolio of AP markets. Ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned to Visa's broader Total Rewards and people strategy. Bring market intelligence and analytical insight to inform renewal strategy, plan design decisions, and cost management.
Stakeholder Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor across a wide stakeholder spectrum, providing expert guidance to HRBPs on complex benefits matters, supporting employees with clarity and confidence on their benefits, and presenting program performance and recommendations to business leaders and People leadership with rigour and commercial acumen.
Vendor & Commercial Management Own the end-to-end vendor relationship for benefits providers in your markets, from procurement and contracting through to performance management, invoice governance, and renewal negotiations. Hold vendors accountable to agreed service levels and ensure commercial arrangements reflect Visa's interests.
Data, Analysis & Benchmarking Translate benefits data into meaningful insight. Analyze utilisation trends, claims experience, and market benchmarks to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Present findings and recommendations in a manner that supports informed decision-making at leadership level.
Compliance & Governance Ensure benefit programs meet all applicable regulatory requirements across your markets. Maintain accurate records, manage audit requirements, and keep documentation, including employee handbooks and plan materials, current and accurate.
Capability Building & Projects Contribute to regional initiatives including new market implementations, program redesigns, and Workday system enhancements. Actively engage with AI and data tools as the team builds more intelligent, scalable ways of working. Identify and drive process improvements that strengthen the team's effectiveness.
What Sets You Apart:
You approach your work with intellectual curiosity, you bring perspective and market intelligence, not just process updates. You are forward-looking in how you work, actively embracing AI tools and new analytical approaches as the function evolves, seeing them as a way to advise with greater depth and speed, not as a threat to how things have always been done. You understand that markets across AP are distinct, and you adapt accordingly. Above all, you are someone stakeholders at every level can rely on, for sound advice, accurate information, and consistent follow-through.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
8+ years of benefits experience with direct, hands-on exposure to multiple AP markets
Experience across both the advisory/consulting and in-house environments is strongly preferred
Strong analytical capability, comfortable building cost models, interpreting claims and utilisation data, and constructing data-driven recommendations
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from employees to senior business and HR leadership
Hands-on Workday proficiency: familiarity with benefits administration platforms is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and depth to the audience
A bachelor's degree or equivalent; GRP or equivalent certification is a plus
