The Automation & Drives Projects and Bid Manager is responsible for design, selection, bidding, and project management of Siemens drives systems and Automation Systems for a variety of industrial applications in various industries, including Glass, Steel, Cement, Water, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Acting as bid manager by preparing winning techno-commercial offers for complex LV Drives, DCS, SCADA and PLC tenders for Industrial Projects.
- Creating competitive offers for automation and drives projects and services, including cost calculation, Ensuring the coordination with the front-end sales, factory sales as well as all support functions, to develop a cost-optimized solution in accordance with customer requirements
- Defining sales price based on market price and cost calculation.
- Deliver industrial Automation & Drives projects from project kick off through handover and closure including the warranty.
- Own project P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin protection, and cash flow support.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, ensuring compliance with contractual and Siemens requirements.
- Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers, managing procurement activities in line with project needs.
- Prepare and submit project progress documentation, track claims and variations, and ensure effective project control.
- Represents Siemens’ contractual and commercial interests vs customer and communicates with customer
- Ensure compliance with Quality, EHS, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements applicable to utility OT environments..
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Minimum 05 years’ experience in techno-commercial bid preparation for industrial automation projects.
- Minimum 03 years’ experience in Project Management for complex industrial automation projects.
- Good client facing skills, must be able to work as part of combined client/contractor team .
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (bidding, customer, EPC, internal engineering, and site teams).
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices and procedures, resource and schedule management.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.
- PMP and/or PM@Siemens project management certification.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

- PCS7 System
- SIMATIC S7-400, S7-300, S7-1200 PLC Systems
- WinCC SCADA System
- Engineering and implementation of Drive Technology applications mainly based on SINAMICS Drive Control Chart (DCC) or Open Architecture (OA / SINAMICS TEC)
- SIMOTION SCOUT, SCOUT standalone and SCOUT TIA
- 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard.
