We are looking for rising and recent graduates for our 18-month Automation Genesis program - Sales Track. The first six months of this position will be based at Mason, OH, with subsequent placement at a U.S. location based on business needs.
This program, comprised of three phases, is designed to prepare you for impactful Sales roles within Siemens Digital Industries Automation. The journey begins with a 6-month intensive onboarding phase that combines structured training with hands-on project work to develop your expertise in our Digital Industries Automation portfolio, accelerate your understanding of our business strategy and core processes, enhance your professional skills, and strengthen your selling capabilities. Phase 2 is an immersive 12-month experience with one of our dedicated sales teams, during which you’ll master our sales tools, refine your professional selling skills, and gain hands-on experience with account development and customer engagement. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition to phase three: a designated full-time role in Inside Sales, OEM Sales, or Partner Sales.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Actively engaging in intensive training, workshops, and joint customer development activities to build a strong understanding of our history, values, business units, technical portfolio, and industrial markets and channels, gaining valuable field experience along the way
- Applying a client-centric approach to understanding customer needs, guiding decision-making towards tailored Siemens solutions through compelling storytelling
- Developing and maintaining excellent communication skills (including active listening, open dialogue, and digital fluency) and a passion for our innovative products, solutions, and services in order to curate positive and meaningful customer engagements
- Cultivating strong internal and external business relationships, collaborating across the vast Siemens Ecosystem (e.g., Field Sales, Product Marketing, Distributor Sales Team) and leveraging partnerships with US distribution channels and industry associations
- Utilizing various tools and learning key sales processes to efficiently manage, monitor, and track opportunities on a timely basis, as well as documenting and research customer information

Basic Qualifications:
- Eligibility Requirement: This Development Program is designed for individuals beginning their professional careers. Candidates must have completed, or will complete, the required educational credentials prior to the program start date. This program is intended for candidates at an early career stage. Current students seeking an experiential learning opportunity while continuing their studies should consider our internship and co-op programs.
- Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Entrepreneurship, or related majors
- Available to start full-time employment on June 7, 2027
- Strong interest in industrial automation, manufacturing technology, and industrial markets, with a desire to continuously learn and grow
- Customer-focused mindset with a focus on building trusted relationships and solving customers’ business challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and active listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs and present technical solutions to diverse audiences
- Strong collaboration and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build partnerships across customers, partners, and internal teams
- Ability to influence customer decision-making and guide customers towards Siemens solutions
- High level of initiative, drive, and accountability for achieving business targets and delivering results
- Must be willing and able to relocate to different U.S. locations: first to Mason, OH for 6 months, followed geographic placement determined by business needs. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move.
- Travel requirements will be a function of assigned projects and will likely range from periods of light travel (5-10%) to periods of higher travel (50%)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without the need for current or future company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior technical sales internship or understanding of consultative selling with technical products
- Business minor or business-related coursework and business savvy
- Leadership experience through academic or extracurricular activities

The pay range for this position is $77,000 - $80,000 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
