We are looking for rising and recent engineering graduates for our Automation Genesis program – Customer Solution Architect/Sales Specialist track. The first six months of this position will be based at Mason, OH, with subsequent assignment (based on business needs) to one of our DI Automation Hubs, including but not limited Alpharetta, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL; Chicago, IL; Harleysville, PA; or Detroit, MI.

This program, comprised of two phases, is designed to prepare you for impactful customer-facing roles within Siemens Digital Industries Automation. The journey begins with a 6-month intensive onboarding phase that combines structured training with hands-on project work to build your expertise in our portfolio, accelerate your understanding of our business strategy and processes, enhance your professional skills, and strengthen your consultative capabilities. Phase 2 is an immersive 12-month development experience, during which you’ll deepen your portfolio and market expertise, learn to scope customer needs and create solution roadmaps, and gain hands-on experience with customer-facing engagements and digital threads. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition to a designated full-time role within our Technical Sales team, typically as a Customer Solution Architect, Service Sales Specialist, or Portfolio Sales Specialist.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Engaging in instructor-led training, workshops, and technical advisory activities to build a strong understanding of Siemens and our DI Automation technology portfolio, while mastering the skills to understand customer needs and solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Facilitating discovery, visioning, and scoping workshops to understand customers’ business objectives and production needs, define solution requirements, and align our industrial automation technologies to their desired goals
  • Contributing to proof-of-concepts and conducting product demonstrations that showcase the value of Siemens solutions, delivering key insights and communicating compelling value propositions around digitalization, productivity, and efficiency
  • Supporting the development of solution architecture and digital transformation strategies that help customers modernize their production operations and accelerate adoption of our Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Creating technical collateral, customer references, and other enablement materials that support Siemens’ positioning as an industry leader and innovator
  • Collaborating with the Sales teams and Application Engineers on project proposals, Bills of Materials, customer presentations, and other pre-sales activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Eligibility Requirement: This Development Program is designed for individuals beginning their professional careers. Candidates must have completed, or will complete, the required educational credentials prior to the program start date. This program is intended for candidates at an early career stage. Current students seeking an experiential learning opportunity while continuing their studies should consider our internship and co-op programs.
  • Available to start full-time employment on June 7, 2027
  • Bachelor’s degree: Industrial/Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related majors
  • Strong interest in industrial automation, manufacturing technology, and industrial markets, with a passion for personal growth and continuous learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and build confidence with stakeholders
  • Customer-focused and consultative mindset, focused on understanding customer challenges and translating their needs into solution recommendations
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and leverage data-driven insights
  • Must be willing and able to commit to the required relocations: first to Mason, OH for 6 months, followed by a 12-month assignment to one of our hubs, including but not limited to Alpharetta, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; or Harleysville, PA. Relocation assistance is provided to hires who must relocate more than 50 miles from their permanent address for each required move.
  • Travel requirements will be a function of assigned projects and will likely range from periods of light travel (5-10%) to periods of higher travel (50%)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without the need for current or future company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or project experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Business minor or prior business-related coursework and business acumen
  • Understanding of sales enablement or customer relationship management
  • Leadership experience through academic or extracurricular activities

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
