About this opportunity
We are looking for an Automated Operations Engineer - Core Networks to support the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a large-scale CS, PS, and ITSC network. In this role, you will be responsible for network monitoring, fault handling, troubleshooting, escalations, reporting, and reactive maintenance activities to ensure high network availability and performance.
What you will do
- Perform configuration changes and troubleshoot MSC, MGW, HLR, HSS, STP, SBC, UDM (CUDB, HSS, HLR), and IMS nodes in accordance with approved processes.
- Participate in internal technical discussions to improve network monitoring capabilities and first-level troubleshooting effectiveness, providing recommendations for continuous enhancement.
- Ensure adherence to correct working methodologies, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
- Manage fault handling activities, including trouble ticket (TT) management and fault localization, while meeting agreed SLAs.
- Support and coordinate change management activities and Change Request (CR) implementations.
- Drive timely incident resolution and recovery within SLA targets.
What you will bring
- BSc in Engineering, preferably in Telecommunications or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of core network protocols, including SIP, H.248, SS7, ISUP, BICC, SIGTRAN, INAP, CAP, TCAP, MAP, SCCP, and Diameter.
- Solid knowledge of 2G, 3G, and 4G Core Network architecture, protocols, and signaling flows.
- Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of Voice Core CS nodes such as MSC, MGW, STP, UDC, APG, and related platforms.
- Proven second-line operational troubleshooting experience with IMS nodes, including SBG, MTAS, CSCF, IPWorks, EMM, and related technologies.
- Good knowledge of Virtualization, Cloud NFVI, and NFVO technologies is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure operational environment.
