(Associate) Material Planner (m/w/d)
Description
As a Material Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide range of spare parts and consumables. You will use your technical and commercial expertise to plan, order, monitor, and continuously optimize spare parts and consumable inventories.
Responsibilities
- Continuously ensure material availability
- Daily planning, management, and ordering of materials
- Optimization and execution of material planning processes
- Improve spare parts planning and consumption forecasting in close collaboration with internal customers
- Contribute to the implementation of planning strategies, taking into account internal requirements, regulations, and changes
- Support the continuous development of tools, processes, and templates
- Review, analyze, and co-negotiate supplier quotations; process purchase requisitions and coordinate internally across departments
- Track the status of open orders, take corrective actions in case of deviations, and establish alternatives to ensure on-time deliveries and 100% material availability
Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in material procurement within a manufacturing or production environment
- Ideally, a completed degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
