The Network Infrastructure group at Akamai designs, deploys, and maintains servers, switches, DWDM, and routers across 130 countries. The Lab Operations team manages physical deployment and maintenance of these assets in data centers. Responsibilities include ensuring installation quality, timely deployment of technologies, and efficient troubleshooting and repair of network assets.

An Associate Lab Operations Engineer supports deploying, installing, and maintaining Akamai's network infrastructure across global data centers. Collaboration with senior engineers and lab teams includes hardware setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining environments. This entry-level role suits individuals beginning careers in IT or network operations, offering opportunities to develop skills in a practical setting.
As an Associate Lab Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with hardware deployments, installations, and upgrades for lab systems.
- Performing basic system setups, including OS installs and routine updates (Linux, Windows, macOS).
- Supporting inventory tracking by updating asset records in Oracle Siebel CRM.
- Helping configure and cable lab equipment including switches and routers under guidance
- Troubleshooting and escalate basic hardware and software issues.
- Responding to tickets, emails, and chat inquiries from internal users
- Helping process and complete maintenance tasks and change requests.
- Performing tasks using bash and automated scripts.

- Have relevant experience in Hardware area
- Have completed internships or obtained technical certifications relevant to the role.
- Demonstrate expertise in utilizing computer diagnostic techniques effectively for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across various systems and platforms.
- Demonstrate capability to excel in a dynamic setting both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Work onsite at our lab in Grojec, with availability for up to five days each week.
