Associate Construction Project Manager

Tesla is looking for an Associate Construction Project Manager to support the construction of the new ground up Semi truck manufacturing facility that requires exceptional talent. This position is full time, onsite in Sparks, NV.
As an Associate Construction Project Manager, you will work in a cross functional role coordinating construction activities between project managers and field superintendents, supporting material procurements, performing field quantity verifications, assisting in tracking projects’ cost and schedules performance and ensuring deliverable dates are met.
Responsibilities
- Project Start-Up tasks including supporting the development and tracking of RFP’s, bid leveling and Purchase Order justifications for approval
- Perform daily walk downs of the job site to document performance against the schedule. Develop and submit RFI’s, as needed, based on feedback from field crews to resolve constructability issues as soon as possible
- Coordinate material requisitions to support field activities, including obtaining supplier quotes, analyze for best value, verify receipt, and coordinate delivery to field teams
- Meeting coordination and conference room reservations. Attend meetings for taking minutes and documenting required actions
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure RFI’s, submittals and other necessary documentation is submitted and processed in a timely manner
- Support Project Managers in the development of supporting Change Control documentation
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation of vendors and contractors
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a coordinator capacity preferably with an architecture, design or construction firm
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil disciplines preferred, or equivalent experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with a strong attention to detail, high level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Aconex, PlanGrid, and MS Project preferred
- Proactive, motivated self-starter, ability to work with minimal guidance, flexibility and ability to -handle and manage change effectively and efficiently
