Overview:

Join Xerox as a Payroll Analyst within our Global Business Services (GBS) People Operations team in India. In this role, you will support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while ensuring a positive employee experience. You will collaborate with HR Operations, Finance, Benefits, and external payroll providers to manage payroll transactions, maintain data integrity, resolve inquiries, and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and service delivery.

What You Will Do:

  • Process and validate payroll transactions, including new hires, salary changes, promotions, transfers, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and other employee updates
  • Execute pre-payroll and post-payroll activities, including reconciliations, off-cycle payments, retroactive adjustments, reporting, and payroll validations
  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory payroll regulations, tax requirements, company policies, internal controls, and audit standards
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries while maintaining accurate, confidential payroll records and master data
  • Prepare payroll reports and operational metrics, support audits, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • 2 to 7 years of experience in payroll operations, payroll administration, or shared services
  • Strong knowledge of Indian payroll processes, statutory compliance, payroll validation, and reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with experience using payroll or HRIS platforms such as Oracle HCM, ADP, or CloudPay preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
