About the Role
The Art Director will define creative direction, establish scalable visual standards, and build mechanisms that improve creative quality across post-production, design, fashion, video, 3D, and generative AI workflows. This role will partner with Creative, Production, Operations, Program Management, Product, and Tech teams to solve complex creative problems, improve production workflows, and scale high-quality customer-facing content. A strong candidate combines strong visual judgment and craft expertise with the ability to influence stakeholders, use data to identify systemic opportunities, and translate creative principles into repeatable solutions.
Candidates must provide a strong portfolio which demonstrates brand and customer understanding and excellent art direction and visual design skills. They must also be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects, maintaining quality throughout. A successful candidate will be motivated, able to work independently, and navigate ambiguity and evolving priorities effectively, while fostering an environment of multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation and creative problem-solving.

Key job responsibilities
- Own creative direction and quality across multiple high-volume content programs, ensuring consistency with brand and customer experience standards.
- Translate ambiguous business and creative requirements into clear visual direction, scalable guidelines, SOPs, templates, and production frameworks.
- Establish and evolve creative quality mechanisms, including QA frameworks, defect classifications, calibration processes, and creative review standards.
- Identify systemic quality and workflow gaps using defect trends, production data, and stakeholder feedback; drive solutions that reduce rework and improve first-pass quality.
- Define creative standards and evaluation criteria for Generative AI workflows, including visual references, prompting frameworks, quality guardrails, and output evaluation.
- Partner with Product and Tech teams to improve creative tools, automation, and AI-enabled production workflows.
- Lead creative pilots and improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation, measurement, and scale.
- Make informed trade-offs between creative quality, customer experience, production efficiency, and scalability.
- Provide creative direction and actionable feedback to designers, production artists, retouchers, editors, and external partners.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and present creative recommendations, quality insights, and solutions to leadership.
- Mentor creative talent and build creative capability through training, calibration, and structured feedback.
- Contribute to hiring, portfolio reviews, assessments, and talent development for creative and creative-quality roles.

Basic Qualifications
- Have an available online portfolio
- 5+ years of design experience
- Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design, with experience in designing for both mobile and desktop applications
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
- Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- Have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and advertising experience across a range of media and platforms, along with work that reflects your design process
- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
- Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
- Experience in stakeholder management and communication management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
- Experience experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
