You Are

You have spent years deep in verification, the kind where you know that a clean testbench is only half the battle and the other half is figuring out why a simulation that should take two hours is taking twelve. You have debugged enough UVM environments to spot a misconfigured factory override from three files away, and you have worked with UPF long enough to know that low-power intent and actual low-power behavior are not always the same thing.

You are comfortable sitting with a customer's verification team, looking at their waveforms in Verdi, and walking out with a plan that cuts their debug time in half. You do not just answer questions, you ask better ones. You know the difference between a workaround and a real solution, and you care about which one you are delivering.

You like solving problems that matter. Not theoretical exercises, but the ones that are blocking tapeout next week or making a regression suite unbearably slow. At Synopsys, you will work with verification engineers across Korea's leading semiconductor companies, helping them get more out of VCS and Verdi than they thought possible.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical support and consultation to customers using VCS simulator and Verdi debug platform, resolving issues that range from setup and configuration to complex simulation performance bottlenecks
• Engage directly with customer verification teams to optimize their workflows, improve regression efficiency, and troubleshoot testbench and UVM environment issues
• Deliver best practices and methodology guidance for SystemVerilog, UVM, and low-power verification using UPF, tailored to each customer's design and verification flow
• Develop scripts, automation flows, and technical documentation that help customers adopt and scale Synopsys verification tools across their projects
• Debug complex simulation and verification challenges, working across waveforms, logs, and testbench code to identify root cause and recommend solutions
• Collaborate with internal R&D, field engineering, and product teams to escalate issues, share customer feedback, and contribute to product improvements
• Build and maintain reference examples, application notes, and training materials that accelerate customer onboarding and tool adoption

What You'll Need

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in ASIC or SoC verification, working with real testbenches, real regressions, and real tapeout pressure
• Strong proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and UVM methodology, the kind that comes from writing and debugging verification environments, not just reading about them
• Hands-on experience with UPF and low-power verification, including power-aware simulation and debug
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex simulation issues, trace problems through waveforms and logs, and isolate root cause in large verification environments
• Experience with VCS, Verdi, or other industry-standard simulation and debug tools is a strong plus
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, or shell scripting for automation and flow development is valuable
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both Korean and English, especially when working with customers and internal global teams

• You are comfortable saying "I do not know, but I will find out" and then actually finding out, whether that means digging through documentation, running your own experiments, or pulling in the right internal expert
• You do not need a perfect ticket description to get started, you ask the right clarifying questions, reproduce the issue, and work toward a real solution
• You can explain a complex UVM sequence or UPF issue to a customer engineer in a way that makes sense, without losing the technical depth that matters
• You stay organized when managing multiple customer engagements at once, and you know which issue needs attention now and which one can wait until tomorrow
• You care about the customer experience, not just closing the ticket, and you take ownership of problems until they are actually solved
