Change the world. Love your job.

This role is in the HVDC datacenter product line where we are working on designing the chips needed for the next generation of AI datacenter power supplies. This is a high visibility and high growth product area. The product line develops both the primary side 400V GaN power stages as well as the secondary low-voltage synchronous rectifiers for 800V to low-voltage LLC converters.

As an applications engineer on the team you will be responsible for interfacing with our customers and sales teams to teach them how our parts works and how to implement them in their systems. You will also be responsible for helping customers solve challenges involving our parts in their systems by debugging, troubleshooting, and working together with the customer to solve the problem.

Primary Responsibilities:
 - Provide technical support to data center OEMs and power supply manufacturers designing with TI GaN power stage and SR solutions
 - Design and Release evaluation modules for TI GaN power stage and SR solutions
 - Troubleshoot customer design challenges related to component selection, GaN FET layout, and thermal management
 - Create application notes, design guides, and evaluation board documentation specific to data center power conversion
 - Conduct technical training sessions for customers on GaN device characteristics, switching behavior, and reliability
 - Work with sales teams to support strategic data center customers (hyperscalers, ODMs, system integrators)
 - Perform on-site technical support at customer facilities for prototyping, production validation, and debug
 - Evaluate new GaN device generations and power stage features for performance optimization
 - Support design validation testing including efficiency measurements, thermal analysis, and reliability assessment
