We are seeking a hands-on senior Oracle APEX developer to build, enhance, secure, and support customer-facing APEX/OCI applications for federal clients. This role is primarily an individual contributor position with technical leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will own complex development work end-to-end, collaborate directly with stakeholders and delivery teams, solve difficult technical problems, and help guide development practices without formal people-management responsibility.

Required qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to federal client requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of progressive software or web development experience, including senior-level application delivery and technical problem-solving.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB), Oracle APEX, Oracle Analytics Gateway (OAG), Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP), and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
  • Experience designing and developing responsive, accessible, and secure web applications using SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs, data services, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience working in Jira within Agile/Scrum delivery teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, standups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Ability to independently deliver complex development work, translate requirements into scalable solutions, troubleshoot difficult issues, and mentor junior developers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work directly with federal stakeholders.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Oracle APEX applications.
  • Build and optimize data models, SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, REST services, and enterprise integrations using ADB and ORDS.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, secure user interfaces using Oracle APEX, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Implement secure application patterns and support compliance with applicable federal security, accessibility, and development standards.
  • Work directly with product owners, analysts, architects, and federal stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality functionality.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; provide technical estimates, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, improve development practices, document technical solutions, and mentor less-experienced developers.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex application, database, integration, and performance issues.
