APAC Logistics Planner
Summary
The Pacific Logistics team sits at the centre of Apple's Operations function, translating business demand into executable logistics capacity across freight, distribution, and fulfilment channels. We work closely with both internal stakeholders and a network of logistics partners across the region to ensure supply moves efficiently from origin to end consumer.
We are looking for a results-driven individual to join our planning and analytics team. This role applies structured analytical thinking to capacity planning — bridging upstream demand signals with logistics execution across Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Distribution Centre (DC) Operations. The right candidate is comfortable working with ambiguity, translating data into decisions, and holding themselves accountable to outcomes.
This is a central planning role requiring close collaboration with Supply/Demand Management, Operations Finance, Retail Fulfilment Operations, and Reseller Operations on all logistics capacity matters. The objective is to proactively align with functional teams — balancing cost, infrastructure, supply, and supplier relationships — and to scale logistics capacity appropriately to support sell-through targets.
Description

Represent Logistics on all capacity-related matters across Inbound & Outbound Freight, Distribution Centres, and all route-to-market channels.
Develop and sustain a forecast and capacity review cadence with cross-functional teams (Supply/Demand Management, Retail Fulfilment Operations, Procurement) and internal Logistics teams (Freight, DC Operations), covering steady-state operations, quarter-end shipments, new product launches, and promotional events.
Communicate and influence scale decisions with key stakeholders, incorporating demand/supply assumptions, supportability constraints, and cost considerations to maximise consumer sales while managing spend.
Lead logistics capacity planning activities ahead of and during peak events, ensuring shipment and delivery lead times are met; surface risks to stakeholders and provide clear execution direction to internal Logistics teams.
Own Mid-Term and Long-Term Volume Planning with regional and worldwide stakeholders, including forecast review, capacity requirements modelling, and scale action planning to support business growth.
Provide returns volume forecasts to plan DC and freight resources during peak periods, ensuring timely goods receipt in line with Service Level Agreements.
Support planning and monitoring reporting requirements, including troubleshooting planning tool issues and building supplementary dashboards where needed.
Drive continuous process improvement in capacity planning workflows and management systems to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
