Role Overview
The Principal ACF Investigations Manager, Americas will lead anti-counterfeit investigation and enforcement activities across the Americas region. This role oversees complex investigations, guides external service providers, partners with Law Enforcement Authorities and Customs, and works closely with internal stakeholders to protect HP from counterfeit threats. The role calls for strong investigative judgment, strategic leadership, and the ability to operate effectively across countries, functions, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead anti-counterfeit investigations across the Americas in line with HP investigation guidelines
- Provide strategy, direction, and operational guidance on ongoing enquiries and case activity
- Review and approve investigation plans, specialized investigation techniques, and seizure-related communications
- Guide external investigation service providers in line with global and regional priorities
- Ensure strong case governance through HP’s internal case management system, including oversight of vendor documentation to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date case records
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Law Enforcement Authorities and Customs
- Support law enforcement training and enforcement coordination across the region
- Partner with intelligence analysts on tactical responses to counterfeit threats, including online threats
- Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and related functions
- Lead or significantly shape regional planning, prioritization, reporting, and resource allocation
- Represent HP in relevant external forums, associations, and industry events as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve investigation processes, vendor performance, reporting quality, and operational effectiveness
- Share emerging trends, lessons learned, and best practices across investigations
Qualifications - Proven track record of successful anti-counterfeit investigations
- Strong experience working with Law Enforcement Authorities and Customs
- Demonstrated case management and investigative planning experience
- Significant experience managing external vendors or investigation service providers
- Ability to lead complex work across multiple countries and stakeholder groups in the Americas region
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Fluency in Spanish required
- Legal or paralegal background is an advantage
• Portuguese language skills are a plus
