The Analyst, Material Planning is responsible for ensuring the timely availability, movement, and control of materials required to support manufacturing, fulfillment, and customer commitments. This role serves as a key operational leader within Production Control, driving material execution, inventory management, order prioritization, and cross-functional coordination across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, and Planning.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Material Planning, Production Control, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or Inventory Management.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and material planning principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Requirements:
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience within high-volume manufacturing or technology industries, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
You will
Material Planning & Execution
- Manage material availability to support production schedules, customer demand, and revenue commitments.
- Analyze supply and demand requirements to identify shortages, excess inventory, and potential risks.
- Coordinate material allocation and prioritization across multiple business requirements.
- Monitor and manage execution against production plans, build schedules, and shipment commitments.
Production Control & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory positions through regular analysis, audits, and transaction reviews.
- Drive actions to reduce aged, excess, and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution locations.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control processes and material handling requirements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve material constraints.
- Lead material readiness reviews for critical programs, customer orders, and production builds.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and execution plans.
- Support engineering change implementation and material disposition activities.
Escalation & Issue Resolution
- Lead resolution efforts for material shortages, supply disruptions, fulfillment challenges, and customer escalations.
- Assess operational risks and develop mitigation plans to protect production and customer commitments.
- Escalate issues appropriately while providing actionable recommendations and recovery plans.
- Support executive and customer-facing updates regarding material availability and delivery risks.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve material planning processes, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
- Develop reporting, metrics, and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Drive process standardization and documentation across Production Control activities.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
