Analog IC Design Engineer | IPP MPP
The MPP Dallas design team is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer to join our power management design team. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge,
high-current power stages for multi-phase buck converters targeting high-performance computing and datacenter applications. You will be at the forefront of designing low-voltage power delivery solutions that enable next-generation computing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-current, low-voltage power stages for multi-phase buck converters in advanced BCD processes
- Own full design cycle from architecture and transistor-level design through layout supervision, verification, and support silicon validation
- Optimize power stage performance for efficiency, switching speed, thermal management, and area
- Collaborate with systems and demand creation teams to define power stage specifications and performance targets
- Work closely with layout engineers to implement high-performance, high-density power stage layouts
- Perform circuit simulations including DC, AC, transient, and corner analysis
- Support silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization activities
- Interface with applications and product engineering teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements
- Contribute to design methodology improvements and best practices
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- 5+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design
- Strong fundamentals in power electronics and DC-DC converter topologies
- Understanding of layout considerations for high-current monolithic LDMOS power devices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
