Job Description: Algorithm Developer

We are looking for a highly talented Algorithm Developer to join our unique product team and help build the next-generation applications and products.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be part of a team developing advanced algorithms for image processing in the semiconductor industry. This role combines cutting-edge algorithm development with high-performance infrastructure design, enabling efficient data streaming and real-time processing for complex workflows.

Our Group

We are part of the R&D department of a major brand new and exciting Product, responsible for developing the next generation software and algorithm solutions that will power Applied Materials’ cutting-edge metrology and inspection system.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and implement Registration and Scoring algorithms for the Detection domain, including Image to CAD alignment, non‑rigid registration, Defect detection and localization algorithms
  • Build Zero to Low Shot training capabilities and contribute to algorithm flows Usability and robustness
  • Work closely with image processing software engineers to optimize your algorithm and support the fastest inspection tool in the world.
  • Collaborate with architecture and product teams to ensure seamless integration of algorithms, refining requirements and designing scalable solutions that solves customers problems.

What you should have

  • 10 years of experience in research and development of deep learning and image processing algorithms.
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering field
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing robust, production-ready solutions.
  • Strong attitude to infrastructure development and a collaborative, team-work mindset.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
